Default Drag Turbo Kit

what do you all think about the drag turb kit on a b18c in a 96 civic coupe dx. compared to other turbo kits, how is the reliability, dependability, life, and performance of it. ive heard they are really good. it would be 8 or 9 psi. what is the average install time and what kind of gain am i looking at. also it would have the 3" down pipe? and suggestions or comments

You should for sure expect higher gains than 190WHP, thats around what a stock SOHC will make on 7psi depending on the turbo.

good rule of thumb is 10 hp for every 1 psi you boost.. id go with a kit from full race.. get your moneys worth

yeah, full-race is quality, but expensive as hell. really not necessary at this point for the OP.
Good company though

What stage is the kit? Don't they come in different stages, hence, different specs?

with a stock clean, lower mileage b18c in a bone stock 96 Civic coupe dx with obd 1. i would be at 270 hp and the whp would be 240ish with a drag turbo kit at 9 psi w/3" down pipe? daily driven is 8 or 9 ok espec. since im not gonna get on it all the time? i mean i know forced induction can put wear on your motor overtime espec if you dont have the air/fuel ratio balanced, but the fmu will take care of that part. if you watch how you drive is 8 or 9 good?

The horsepower difference doesn't really mean too much...it does make a difference (don't get me wrong), but the real difference is in the amount of torque you'll be making.

I'll be going with the Full-Race kit when the time comes...I've heard nothing but good things, even though it is a tad bit more expensive

EDIT: But if you're looking specifically at the DRAG kit, then yeah, those are good too

gsr's can hit up to 300 whp safe with a good tune, before i sold my gsr i took it to many shops about tunning, and told them the setup id be using, you can expect more then 240ish.

do you know how much torque with that setup? i dont think there is going to by too much tuning for now. so that is why i just wanted to play it safe, but still want boost. so with 8 or 9 psi about how much whp am i looking at and torque? also is 9 psi safe or is there a safer boost without tuning for now
