Eg or an Dc2
Well, both are good platforms. I have an integra, but I had an eg hatch a few years ago. The Egs are lighter, but the integras come with stronger engines from the factory. Also they ALL have rear disks and larger sway bars, and generally perform better overall. The civic obviously is a great project car though and if you can find a 92-95 SI hatch your in good shape! thats my 2 cents. If your into motor swaps and turbo and bla bla bla, it really doesnt matter. Just a matter of prefference.
eg=more money to built it
dc2=almost ready just a few buks more
nothing against eg is a wonderfull car i had two my self, but i love my dc2, it gives you a more of a true sport car feeling,but then again the choice is always yours
i vote dc2

chick points, lol joking--DC2
fuctionality/street use--DC2

When you ask the integra thread, people are going to tell you integra, if you ask the civic threads people are going to say the eg. So since you posted here i say DC

Both platforms are great.
Eg is great if your planning on going all out raw speed. It doesn't have alot of the creature comforts the dc has. And, its not nearly as nice out of the box.
The DC mixes style and speed in a nice little package. And an engine you could work with. Also offers side impact beams which you might want to consider as this is your first car.
I VOTE DC

also consider the insurance on the eg will most likely be cheaper, giving you a few extra bucks to mod it. when i was 17 i had to pay 130 bucks a month for liability on my ls
