Quick question for you guys? I have noticed that my wastegate is no opening up for some odd reason and I was messing with the boost controller and thats not it.
timing and vaccum hoses are prefect. So why would a wastegate just stop working?
SOHC TURBO
on 10 psi
tial 38mm wastegate spring at 7psi

 

Is it drawing vacuum on the top port of the waste gate? Sometimes the rubber can rip and cause problems or a set screw can possibly back out.

race gas on a pump valve?
taking boost reference off the manifold?

 

if its a diaphragm wastegate, that can tear and render the wastegate inoperable.

Sounds a bit more like THIS reason here. But details from The OP are needed..

 

ok nevermind my wastegate seemed to just start working again for some odd reason.

If he's using race gas for 10psi of boost, he's got a turbo bigger than my spare tire

I'd recommend you take your WG off and disassemble (unless you aren't 'handy'). It could be corroded or in need of service.
