Delay before accessory circuit comes on...
It was very intemittent before, now it's often. I'm thinking it's related to my alternator dying. Tell me what you think--Sometimes when I turn on the car, as I pass ACC I think the accessories might get power for that instant, but then after I turn on the car and it sits at the ON position, sometimes there's a delay of up to a few minutes before the accessories (stereo, TomTom, radar detector-anything on that circuit) comes to life.
Now I'm 98% certain my alternator is close to taking a **** because when I start my car at night and turn on the lights, if the car isn't warm yet, the idle drops and comes back, drops and comes back. Turn the lights off, problem goes away. =alternator, right?
Are the two related most likely? It would kinda make sense.. but I'm not electrician. Also, I'm picking up my B18B this week or next week, I should be able to just throw on that alternator onto my car if they're both OBD1 right (B16A)?
