Default hesitation at 2-3k rpms

hey everybody.. i just got my gsr last week. just for your info, its a 2000 gsr with 70k miles on it. its completely stock, only one owner before me who was a nurse.

anyways, i've noticed that under slow and smooth acceleration, aroun 2-3000 rpms there is some sort of hesitation to accelerate, then after that rpm range, it accelerates smoothly and as quickly as it should. i was thinking there may be a problem in fuel delivery, but i'm not too sure.

any input would be greatly appreciated, and thanks guys.

Is your check engine light on ?
If so, check your codes.

no, its not on. everything seems fine. sometimes the hesitation doesnt even seem like its there though... its only evident in the lower gears (first and second)

I'd say, spark plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap and rotor, should fix it.
