check engine light/ misfire codes
I have a 2000 Acura Integra GSR. The valves were just adjusted and i replaced the spark plug wires and plugs. My check engine light keeps coming on and it is throwing the random/multiple misfire code as well as the P1399. I do not know what it could be. The plugs and wires were replaced 15 miles after the valves were adjusted. This is giving me an awkward idle as well not all the time but enough. Any suggestions?
are the plugs properly gapped and torqued? and an even stupider question: are the wires in the right order?
make sure your dizzy cap and rotor are in good condition too.

most likely its the cause of the valve adjustment.. id take it back to the guys who worked on it and ask whats up.. it shouldnt be misfiring because of a spark plug, especially if you have new ones
The plugs are gaped and torqued correctly as well as the wires are in the correct order. I ordered a new cap and rotor and are going to replace that tomorrow. If that isnt it then I am going to call the place where i got the valves adjusted and have them check it out. I cannot think of anything else that could be wrong. The car was not doing this before the valve adjustment.

It is probably your valve adjustment causing this.

I think it is the P1300 code as well. I know the P1399 code is coming up. This only started to happen when I got the valves adjusted. I brought it back and they said it was my plug wires to replace them so i did and it did not help at all.

THe p1300 - p1306 individual cylinder misfire in your case should be p1300-p1304 check wiring check injector polsation check spark plug gaping or spark plugs cuz new never mean new

Definately have your valve clearances rechecked, did they perform the adjustment while the motor was cold and cooled for at least 3 hours, or did they do it as soon as you dropped off the car?
P1399 doesn't throw the CEL. Check the other codes. There should be 301-304 for each cylinder. I still say someone didn't do the valve job right.
It's pretty easy, you could verify the clearances with a 5$ feeler gauge set and a 10mm wrench. Just make sure the car is cold.

I am going to contact the shop that did the adjustment tomorrow and bring it back to them so they can check it out again. The car was dropped off the night before and stored in the garage so that way the next day they didnt have to move the car so the engine was cold when it was done. Thats what doesnt make sense to me is that everything is fine on my end. I got the car back and have been going through and examining everything that it could possibly be without checking the valves and so far nothing is wrong. It has to be on there part because the car was fine and didnt throw the misfire codes like it is doing now until I got the car back.
Just my two cents. I agree with everyone that they didn't adjust them correctly. If they are adjusted too tight it will not allow the valves to close all the way and you will get all misfire codes and the P1399. I work on lots of cars and I had the same problem with a ford 4 banger. It happened to be valve seats were too worn out and the valves were not seating properly. It gave all misfire codes and p1399. There is an adjustment for cold and warm engine. It should be on the underside of your hood on a sticker.
The car was brought back to the shop and the valves were re-checked. They were perfect the adjustment was right on the first time so it is not the valve adjustment. I replaced the cap and rotor and that did not help at all.
The Distributor was just replaced in the vehicle and that did nothing as well, the light is still on and the car is still misfiring. The valves are fine they were re checked, there are new plugs gapped and torqued to spec, wires, a new cap and rotor. None of this helped. Any other suggestions as to what this could possibly be?
I had and acura legend with the same problem, it ended up beind the ground on the ing switch for the key weird rite??? its the same ground the injectors use dont know if tegs are the same but if you put anything other than ngk plugs in there take um out
