electrical problem???
i have a '99 gsr and recently the engine will stutter, almost like hitting a rev limiter, at about 5500-6000 rpm. It doesnt with any regularity. it does seem to happen most in third gear though, if that means anything. i think it might be an electrical problem, but not sure. I would appreciate anyone that can offer some help. Thanks
I had something like that happen to an '89 Saab. That turned out to be plug wires were breaking down. Get where it's really dark & look for arcing at the cap or along the wires.
Also check the condition of the rotor, especially the outer electrode that passes against the pins inside the cap. High rpm has the most spark advance, so if the forward part of the rotor is all screwed up it could mess up your spark.
