Default wrong ecu?

drive a 00 civic with gsr swap and p28 skunk chipped ecu. The v-tec in 1st through 3rd is almost 5200 each time but once I go to 4th it change to like 6500 and then when it hit v-tec after a little bit it will bog out so is it the ecu? and also do gsr's have dual v-tec and if so I dont notice it at all?

yeah the p28 is from a d16z6 or d16y8. its not for a gsr....it might just be where it is chipped. but if it was a virgin ecu, then it would not run the right way. so try to go to a junkyard and get one from a gsr or you might have to buy one from ebay or the marketplace. also only some jdm motors have 2 stage vtec. so if yours is usdm: then no. hope that helps you out.

just get the right ecu...you really don't need to get a chipped ecu...just get an obd2 gsr ecu...and it'll be fine...less troubles...better gas mileage...

no....conversion harnesses are only for going from obd-2 to obd-1 or vice versa. swapping obd-2 for obd-2 is just plug and play.

When its OBD2A and OBD2B they are not plug and play.
