Default 99 00 Fog light switch problem

Okay I have a set of aftermarket jdm style fog lights on my car and have now gone thru 3 button/switches and need to figure out why they stop working. They will work fine for a couple months and then just stop working. The button/switches still make the clicking sound but the button doesnt light up any more and the fog light don't turn on. Anyone ever had this problem and know what might be causing it?

Are you buying the cheap ebay switches? If so you might want to invest in a stock honda one. I believe they cost like $20 new.
I have a ebay kit on my eg and the switch is a peice of ****. I tried taking it out one day because my fog lights stoped working and the switch broke. Those switches are cheaper then cheap.

No, I am using Honda switches. I busted the one that came with the kit a week after I installed it. I have a black CTR button, a SI light gray button and was using my rear fog light button I had laying around and that one went out this morning on my way to work. I am thinking maybe its a wiring issue or I just happen to have bad luck and got 3 really used switches and just happen to die out on me.

Anyone else have an info on this problem?

I may just order a set of OEM Si ones or some Depo's and just remove the ones i have

Have you upgrade the bulbs with your fog light kit? I noticed that when I started to encounter problems because I replaced the 55watt bulbs with 100watts and repeatly kept blowing fuses, after the last fuse blew I shorted out the switch I believe. I'm still trying to figure it out .
I would definitely check your wiring though if you haven't messed with the bulbs. Or the problem might be possibly where you have the power wire hooked up underneath the dash.

Check out this thread

This one might help you better, because it has the color of wires leading up to the switch. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2034791
