So random question may have been answered before but I couldn't find an answer. I have fog lights and instead of ordering an overpriced OEM fog light switch or a cheap *** ebay one I checked and the fog light connector is the same one as the OEM cruise control button. Is it safe to use that if my cruise control is unplugged it has never worked anyway. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a 92 hatch so that one isn't the one for my car.

well then. you might have to move the pins around. find a diagram and see what happens...

or keep an eye out... maybe call some junk yards.

Should be same switch. 2 wires are for illumination and 2 are for switching

Yeah the old harness I had that ended up catching on fire plugged right into the cruise control button I just didn't know if it was safe. I figured it wouldn't matter if the cruise isn't working anyway and the button just serves as a button to turn the fogs on

yes they are, i have an oem switch. the internals of the cruise control and oem switch are exactly the same, just different faceplate symbols
