my car has a problem i have a jdm d15b in my crx with the stock pm6 ecu, my car pulls off real lame and then at like 4k prm the rpms goes up quicker and also between shifts i also hear some poppin out the exhaust, wat could be my problem? my friend has the same setup anf if i jus touch the gas pedal it revs so quicker ad his rpm builds real quicker than mine does.

 

Sounds like a timing problem. Check the distributor first, then the cam and crank.

Get a timing light.

 

I've had the same problem with my hatch ever since I went MPFI. Must be when I swapped Dizzys....How much of a difference will I notice if its in time? I've probably been missing out all this time...not thinking MPFI changed all that much....and I've just been outta time...

 

timing is on for sure, i will check it with light. its supposed to be at 12 degrees right?

 

Was this something that just happened one day? Or has it been gradual?

 

i would convert to obd1..car will run way better. its def a timing issue. cars is still allowing fuel in while shifting,then gets burned in cat wich makes that popping sound. to do a full engine conversion will cost like 300 max.

How do you know the timing is not off if you always had this problems since you swaped the motor in?

it is your timing my car was the same way like two days ago i just fixed the timing and runs better

 

copuld it be because i am using the 1.6 ex belt?

 

The ideal timing belt would be the VX belt.
