Default turbo'n my b16...any problems with the build?

Its quite a bit different

but this is what its gonna be

turbo off of a evo
18g
custom ram horn mani
treadstone 600 hp intercooler
550 cc injectors
intercooler piping, downpipe, and 3" exhaust made by local shop jmb
hondata s300 on p28 w conversion harness
tial w/g
greddy rs bov
edelbrock victor x intake mani w/ edelbrock throttle body
.....just do stock internals for about 2 months then

throw this in the mix..

skunk2 stage 2 turbo vtec cams
pc 9.1:0 pistons
crower rods
crower valves, valve springs, and retainers
built head by mike's automotive...
and possibly a b18 bottom end of my integra..

anybody see any problems with that?
and any alternatives that may help me out?

Sounds pretty good. run about 5-7lbs of boost with the stock motor

once you build it probably 14-17lbs

get a smaller intake manifold
no need for the turbo cams

sounds like a decent setup but the intercooler is much too large. That turbo wont get you near 400whp, let alone 600.

I say you keep the setup you have but ditch the 18g in lieu of a 57 trim or something equivalent. Dont attempt much more than 325whp until you build it and be sure to get a good tune....it will be fine until you build it. Ive had my stock internal GSR in the 300whp range for 2 seasons and its still running strong

on the intercooler part...i am just paying the extra 10 dollars for the bigger intercooler......and as for the turbo i am getting it for 150 dollars its got like 4000 miles on it...of an evo...and my friend has stock turbo on his evo and puts down 400 so i am almost positive its gonna be more than efficient for the money and my little b16...and i was wanting more than 270 without internals...once i get internals and a b18 bottom end i want close to 400 though...

Care to elaborate? Its common knowledge that B series engines are capable of making (and lasting) at 300+whp...

I don't mean to thread jack but I don't want to start a new thread. Do you think I can reach 300hp w/t3/t4 .60 trim at 10-12psi on my stock b16? Thank you. Right now I'm running a 60 trim t3 and getting 250hp at 10psi. Let me know.

Go with a 57 trim and you'll hit 300whp on 10-11psi with a decent setup to compliment it...

from what i was told all hondas are about how good of a tune you get...thats like the most important thing!! but i have been told many times that i can get 300 hp out of a stock internal si with a real good tune...i only want 275 until i get internals then i will shoot for some big numbers..

the 18g isnt a bad turbo it does what its designed too, youll have good spool, a 3" downpipe is the key to getting it to be more efficient. greddy elbow causes to much back pressure so you have alot of turbine inlet pressure. no reason to switch the 18g out unless your shooting for 350whp or more. for a pump gas daily driver making 275-300whp 18g will work.

if you intended to build the bottom end, t3t04e 57 or 60 trim .63 a/r on the turbine is cheap and effective.

I also am doing a b16-T and was wondering why people sway against the cams?
