Default fully built gsr turbo.could i be down on my power

ok i have a fully built gsr i was wondering what some of you thought about my power and if its good at the psi level. but before i got tuned i didnt think about gettin a bigger intercooler or going to a 3 inch exhuast. my tuner called me and said its the exhaust and intercooler. the site i bought my intercooler from says it can only hold up to 350hp max. well i went way past that but anyways lmk what you guys think my setup is posted below.

-b18c1 darton open deck 85mm sleeves
-crower crank makes it alomost a 2.2L
-Custom Pauter rods
-wiesco pistons 8:5:1 compression
-arp head studs
-cometic headgasket
-01 gsr head
-port and polished intake and exhaust side
-Ferrera 1mm oversize valves
-3angle valve job
-crower dual valve springs
-skunk2 titanium retainers
-Crower stage 3 cams 272's
-Aem cam gears

turbo kit includes
-full race turbo mani
-sc61 turbo
-tial 46mm wastgate
-3 in dp running into 2.5
-780 cc injectors
-edelbrock intake mani
-3 bar map

pump gas i made 396 on 17psi on a 2.5 exhaust and a small *** ebay intercooler.was told to change the exhaust and intercooler and i will make over 500 easy

That thing should make wayy more power. My stock sleeved b16 on gt30 put down 302 @ the wheels at 12lbs... with a PT350 Ic and 3 inch exhaust....

3" dp to a 2.5 exhaust is a big restriction and ditch the crower cams, stock would make more power with gsr's or ctr/itr's IMO

but probably your biggest concern is that tiny exhaust for a monster motor

^^^ i was gonna get rid of the cams but the tuner told me to keep those.im gettin a sparco intercooler very huge and gonna do a 3 inch exhaust and go back. hoping to make it into the 500s

definitely need to open up that exhaust. 3 inch exhaust and my spearco intercool would be perfect. its 28x10x3. 2.5" and 2" cold and hot side

for an sc61 you want 2.5 on both hot and cold sides of the charge pipes even with an E cover one. and definatly ditch that intercooler that thing is good for about 250whp . ur IAT's must be through the roof. a good precision 600 or 750hp is what you need. you can find them used all the time or buy new one. tredstone makes a pretty decent intercooler as well. not as good as a precision though. i got mine used, paid 100 for a 600hp precsion barely used. and IMO get gsr or ctr cams but thats totally up to you, crowers have been known to not perform in alot of cases. skunk2pro1's will really help you out

^^^ i will go to the 2 inch on the on both for sure then.also here is a picture of me and my brothers car he has this treadstone intercooler but he want even tune his car so should i just use it?

first off you need to dump that POS intercooler... you spend all that money on the motor to cheap out with the intercooler. That 350 intercooler loses its efficiency when you reach that hp mark. And you need to get a 3" exhaust asap. Also ditch those cams, as Turbo-LS said you will probably be better off with Ctr/Itr or even Pro 1's. Also whats your fuel setup the only thing you listed were injectors?

Your tuner is correct. Ditch the IC and go with a 3" exhaust if you want to make the setup efficient. That's a big motor and a much larger turbo than a 350hp intercooler should be seeing unless you want to stay in the low- to mid- 300 whp range.

Basically, your setup is seeing a decreasing rate of returns with each additional pound of boost. The intercooler doesn't flow that much, nor does it cool the charge enough. My setup began to experience the same thing. I had a 350hp intercooler running a T3/T4. I made 360 whp on 15 psi and 375 on 17 psi. The power per psi just wasn't there.

The exhaust can work, but you'll definitely pick up power from a larger one.

And like someone else mentioned, I'd get rid of the Crower cams as well. But they aren't terrible.

im on crome lookin to go to hondata and throw some nitrous on it

i dont have the lower timing cover on and im afraid if i swap the cams we gonna run into some problems.whoever put the crank pully on forgot to put the key in an the pully came off so it would be hard to put it back in time.

looks laggy, especially for a 2.2L i might look for boost leaks as well. in addition of course to the exhaust, the cams, and the intercooler(maybe leaking). if you plan on making 500whp you are going to want to invest in larger injectors as well.

The timing cover is nice to have, but you still have the small arrow on the oil pump to go by. Don't be so scared of it.

I think the location of peak torque looks a bit funny for CTR cams. I don't see many ported head dyno's though, so perhaps that's a result of that???

Like I said in the GSR HP thread, something is way off with it IMO. His torque is rising with RPM for one, never really seen that w/o some sort of serious progressive boost creep and then it just falls on its face at 8k. It also looks like you are way down on power at the 5200rpm crossover, barely looks like you are even making boost at that rpm, I would expect a 2.2L to be cooking that SC61 early.

Who ported the head? Not all port's are good jobs

On the intercooler outlet/inlet get 2.5 without a doubt! You have a big block and a 3" downpipe should be good!

Also, what kind of fuel pump do you have?

if you notice the boost plot compared to the torque curve, its like boost creep. it just takes that long to build 17psi. doesnt reach it til after 7000rpm. its not even making 4psi by 5200rpm.

So basically his turbo setup is acting like a centrifugal supercharger

I think the OP mentioned in the other thread that its a T4/SC61 but when I asked the AR I got no reply.
