PM5 Code 10
I am throwing a code on my pm5 ecu. I believe I am getting a code 10 (ten) TA sensor. The manual says that the code 10 would be one long flash. I am getting ten short flashes. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone disagree with my understanding of the short led flashes as a 10 (ten) ????
I forgot where I read this so dont quote me on it. Its possible with the different obd's that some have 1 long flash for ten or ten quick flashes for ten. What yr model civic or crx ,etc. do you have?

The 10 short flashes are normal. (well, NO flashes are normal) I don't think that the manual is for a PM5. PM6 Maybe? My service manual is for a PM6 CRX. I have a modified PM5 EF and I don't have long flashes at all.

Thanks evryone for your response.
I am getting ten short flashes. Next question would be has anyone had trouble removing the TA sensor? I hear I can just plug a new one in and leave it hanging and this will eliminate the CEL...I know sounds stupid but im not sure how else to remedy this if I cannot remove the TA sensor?

He is having problem with the intake air temp. sensor. That doesn't measure engine temp. It measures intake air temp. Try not to give advice unless you have some idea what you are talking about.

I know he hasnt said about coolant problem but isnt it in the wiring that temp gauge on the dash also a part of the TA code. I opened a wiring harness and I've seen a split to the IAT and one for the Coolant switch which allows to see the coolant temp. Correct me if I'm wrong. Harness is obd-1. I had a 92 hatch with sohc zc (R.I.P)

You should be able to take it off. Are you having problems removing it?
