Is there a six speed transmission available for a b series engine?

If I recall, there is an aftermarket one (maybe Quaife?) that is extremely expensive. Nothing stock though.

Yes, it was Quaife, but I could get a complete k swap for half the price of that tranny, does anyone know of one for 5k or less?

I believe that's the only one. If there are anymore out there, I'd expect them to be in about the same price range.

I'm sure there would be some on the site already if there were one that cost less than $5,000.

Yeah, I guess I will just have to live with a five speed, that quaife tranny is more than I paid for my em1.

You don't need a six speed. 9 second drag cars are on OEM GSR 4th gear... Thats in the 150mph range btw.

You don't want more gears in a drag car, you want more gears in a daily driver that sees highway duty. Think first, post second.

The one thing I wish my B16 tranny had was a 6th gear. I love the gearing and not having to downshift ever on the highway... but at the same time I wish I didn't have to cruise for hours at 4300-5000 RPMs in 5th gear

Yeah I was just reading that thread about changing 5th gears haha. Sounds like a lot of work. At least I don't hear my car on the highway at those RPMs unless I get on the throttle cause I have that nice RS*R exhaust It's nice to be able to have conversations with the passengers in your car on the highway, unlike my friend's Civic which is loud as hell!

Definitely gonna look into that 5th gear thing though...

I get better mileage with my 1.000 5th than I did with my Y7 trans. 80mph = 5k.

Speaking realisticly, no there are no 6-speed trannys available for a street driven civic. As posted before, yes, aftermarket boxes are made with custom gearing, but something like that would be ridiculous to think of applying to a DD driven civic.
