Fixed. With enough money, anything is possible.

Quaife.
Now, whether or not you have the $20,000 for the transmission and shifter assembly is another question altogether . . .

Is there anyone who actually needs a 6speed trans with a B series motor?

^^ True. The sport B series transmissions are pretty short anyway, to keep the revs up high as much as possible throughout the shifts. You may be spending some undesirable time between gears if you had a 6th.

Nope, engine turns backwards, but tranny's on the other side too, so you'd have 6 forward and one reverse. But the axles would be on the wrong side of the engine! And you'd be spinning the tranny backwards - probably real bad for lubrication.
Think of it this way. If you take a K series, and rotate it 180 degrees, it will now drive the car backwards. If you then reverse the direction the engine's turning, it's going the correct way again.

Are you on something? Neither he nor I was serious.

Re: 6 speed b series tranny?? (Jakester9500)
anyone with a b16 tranny would agree that a 6th gear would be nice on the interstate.
I really hate crusing the hwy at 5k with a turbo car.

well if that is the case, why not put the LS 5th gear in the b16 tranny like most people do? just for the highway.

I rather do a k20 6speed swap and still have left over.
