Default What motor to drop in my Integra LS?

I have a 94' V-Tec Prelude now that is running 12's and now am fixing up an Integra LS. Does anyone have any suggestions on what motor I should get and fix up. I want it to be a 10 second (street legal) everday road and track car. Any suggestion would be greatly appriciated!!! Thanks!

I got all the time I need. I'm go to lincoln tech and am in their High Performance classes. so, thats where a lot of it would be done. 3 angle valve jobs, turbo set-up, etc. I was also wondering about a B18C w/ the OBD1 ECU set-up? But yeah what's your thoughts? Budget is not to crazy. I'm not looking to through 20 grand into it but I do know it'll come pretty close though.

Your only 16 man, you have a lot to learn. I would definitely use the search button.

If you're already hitting 12's on your prelude, why not further build that to hit 10's and build your ls to hit 12's?

i went to lincoln tech and idunno about you but i was never able to work on my own stuff. i was on the "race team" too ( if u call a nascar body and frame with a small block with stock low comp pistons running 12's a race car) not to knock on you or nething but it aint what its cracked up to be.

the only thing i was able to do was bring my car in and work on it in the shop but even then i was allowed to do certain things. good luck with it though.

seriously what is your budget for this build?

Mainly cause they are heavy I know, and I did want to keep my interior in my lude. The integra on the othe hand I would strip down a little more in it. Not completely stripped but close to it. And also yeah the Lincoln tech in Indianapolis? Thats the one I'm talking about. And did you take the High Performance Course. The Indianapolis one is also associated with Honda, they donate motors to them and you can bring your own in to work on it there as part of your spare time.

i went to the one in union nj. the one in indianapolis is much better than the one i went to. lincoln tech is affiliated with most manufacturers but i would look into it a lil more because from what i was told when i went there i had to maintain a 4.0 and after i completed the bulk of my classes i can apply for the honda course or the bmw program but i wasnt allowed to go directly into it.

from what i remember lincoln tech was shady as hell. im not saying not to go there but i would double check everything and they tend to stretch the truth and glamorize everything they say. all im saying is that my experiece was ****. it wasnt what it was cracked up to be and it wasnt what they said it was gonna be either.

yea i would reccomend either doing a nice lsvtec build or a b20vtec build. it really depends on how much money and time u wanna throw into it.

bahahaha! this won't end well.

clean rice knows his stuff, you should watch out who you mouth off to. if you don't want someone criticizing you, try hitting the search button. you'll see this topic is covered about 800 times a month and you'll find just about everything you want to know just by searching a little.

oh, and just so my post is somewhat relavent to the topic, however beaten to death it may be, i'm also going to say a boosted b20vtec.

good luck.

10 second daily driven integra? That's alot of time, money and effort. Fully built, boosted b20vtec, or a k on boost with atleast forged internals i'm guessing. Lots of dyno tuning.
Sounds expensive to me.

BTW, I went to Lincoln in Columbia, MD. They didn't offer any high performance classes at that campus. But once you were in the last 3rd of the classes you could pretty much bring anything in as long as the instructor didn't think you were a ***** bag.
