Default can't install valve seals...wtf

i searched and found the post on how to do it..now the problem is the seals dont "pop" on. in the post it says just push them into place. no good...wont go on. Im pushing pretty damn hard. the OP says it is unnecessary to hit the seal driver with a hammer...i mean im not going to clobber the thing but should i tap the seal driver lightly? i dont wanna expletive the new seal up and hafto go to honda for more...
thanks

i think a deep 10mm or 12mm socket on top, with a little tap-tappy might do the trick....

Be careful when tapping those seals into place. You can actually drive the rubber centers right out of the steel skirts if you tap too hard.

use a 10mm twelve point to push them on. Don't tap. Alot of times there is a little rubber left over from the previous seal that needs to be removed with a pick so that the new seal seats well. I've replaced those probably 20 times or so and have never had to tap them on.
