Fel-Pro Valve Seals Question.

Fel-Pro Valve Seals Question.
Hello H-T,
I'm getting ready to rebuild my B16 head and
I acquired some Fel-Pro Valve seals. I have read
something about the seals being the same size ID.
I would just like to know if I install them, would I
run into any issues with them leaking ?. Supposedly,
Helms states the valve stem seals from honda have
different colored springs around the seals (white/black).
They also state that the sizes are different about .001.
Anyone that might have had exprience with these Fel-Pro
seals, kindly shed some like on this topic. It would be greatly
appreciated.

Re: Fel-Pro Valve Seals Question.
typically intake and exhaust seals are made from different compounds. and I have no idea what compound felpro seals are made with so I can't really say 100% how well they'll do. the 0.001" difference in ID really wont make difference though; if you measure the hole size before install, it's usually 0.010" smaller than the valve stem anyway. 0.001" is not going to make any considerable difference in tension.
you'll probably get a lot of debating happening here over felpro, some like their stuff, some dont. I've used felpro valve seals before on a stock honda and had no issues for the 50k I owned the car.
personally though, I do recommend supertech valve seals over any other brand, whether it be for stock or performance setups

Re: Fel-Pro Valve Seals Question.
Thank you dearly, that's about as good as it can get.
If they lasted you 50k miles that should definitely be good
enough until I can pick up a few supertech seals in the future.
Once again, thank you motoxxxman for the feedback.
