When I give my car WOT at about 6500-7000 RPM's, its revving real high but not going anywhere. It pulls hard up til then but once it gets there (6500-7000) RPM range it struggles. It will hit the rev limiter early at about 7700 RPMs and it will throw CEL. CEL will stay on, and once I turn the car off then back on it will go away. The reason I say vtec solenoid is I've heard that vtec solenoids are 2 stages and it seems the second stage isnt engaging. correct me if Im wrong. I dont have a scanner, and its a 1995 Acura Integra GSR with original motor. Ive already checked the oil level and its good. LMK what you think.

 

something is wrong with your dizzy, my friend had a similar problem .....I believe it was the coil im not sure maybe the ignitor.....well its one of the two

 

VTEC not VTECH like in the title.

Your GSR has only one stage of VTEC at ~4400 RPM. The ~5750 RPM sound change is from the IAB opening.

Pull the code for the CEL. There is an instruction link in the Integra FAQ thread.

 

I will see what code it gives me. It has a MSD dizzy on it. I will check out the code and see what integra faq.'s say.

its most likely not ur dizzy... its either low oil pressure or a dirty vtec solenoid harness... check ur CEL and let us no wat code it is
