ok so i'm rebuilding a d16a6, i was looking into the cometic mls head gaskets. I'm keeping the stock bore of 75 mm.. however the smallest bore listed on the cometic site is 75.5 mm... do they make a head gasket for a stock size bore? or do i use the 75.5 mm one?

Get a OEM Honda gasket

 

yea i was thinking of using a honda one, a friend of mine told me they updated all the gaskets to MLS type gaskets, is that true?

 

Getting a D16Y8 gasket will be your best bet. I run a Cometic and regret getting it. It's exactly the same as a 92+ OEM honda one.

if you rebuild the motor, wouldnt you want to freshen up the bores? make it a 75.5

 

y8 gasket &gt; z6 gasket &gt; a6 &gt; cosmetic...IMHO

Bump the compression with the y8 gasket LOL

go oem, i have a cometic with 11,000 kms and its already done, 14psi daily and track is 21psi and it just doesnt handle it and i waited 3 months for this headgasket.(.074)
