Default Hid Shield H4(anyone)

anyone used them before.
thinking about using hid with oem headlights no retrofit for now(future plans)
check it out.
how work for you and how you install it.

Yea they are called "Casper shields", most of the people on HIDplanet.com say if you're gonna use HID in an H4 housing that using one of those is the "only way" to do it with out issues..... I personally have no experience with those but ANY shield is better than NO shield with H4 bulbs... HERE is a good explanation and how the Casper shield (or modified versions) work...


How it works is there is a screw on the base side, and you simply side the D2R (R for reflectors, S for shield.... the R's have a ceramic coating on the bulb to limit the light to areas that are not wanted) and screw the bulb down, then twist the assembly into the H4 holder and connect the ballast and hazah...

This would give you a more proper cut off rather than aiming reflector type headlights to the ground right?

only if you convert the bulbs over to d2r/d2s style. which they also sell with the shields as a package for a very good price. and change your ballast connector to the d2r/d2s style. like these,
