Default Projector retrofit and halogen bulb!?

Hi! I hope someone out here can share their knowledge and make things clear for me!

So back to the topic title..

As my EG Civic (92-95) headlights are one of the worst at light output available I am planning to do a retrofit!

As I am on budget right now and don't plan retrofit with HID's at the moment, I have few question to be answered..

* Can Honda,Audi,Bmw,Lexus or other oem HID projector can be used with halogen bulb? (planning to use HID in the future)
* As halogen bulbs produce much more heat than HID will it damage/burn reflector (if I use halogen bulb) or lense of oem HID projectors?
* what about low and high beam if I use projector? Can I buy any projector for low and high beam use or I have to look for something special?
* what is the difference between halo projectors VS hid projectors? Just bulb fittings or different lens and reflectors either?

This could be start for HID retrofit if you are on budget so I hope you understand point of this thread. Hope for some response guys!

None of the HID projectors can use halogen bulbs cause they're designed for certain bulbs, D2S, D1S, D4S is all that'll fit depending on which projector you're putting into your housings. There's no such thing has halo projectors

i think he means halogen lol. the difference is the type of base the projector is designed to take and the focal point of the capsule or filament

If you want the ability to run halogen now, and HID later, you'd be best off with a set of H7 Valeo projectors off of an A4 Audi (maybe others as well).

Then you use these to add the HID capsule

The Valeo H7 projectors have absurdly wide spread for halogen, but about right for HID, and I believe Audi might use the same projector in both HID and non-HID equipped A4s.
(Someone please correct me if necessary, I am no expert.)

Though, truth be told, I have been absolutely impressed with the stock H7 bulbs in my girlfriend's A4 (better light output than my Integra's 9006 projectors with 9005 bulbs "retrofitted" in). After you get them in, you might not even feel the need for HID.

^i believe you are correct. the only difference is the hid version accepts a d2s base, but other than that, i believe it is identical. i think integra projectors are about the worst oe porjectors ive ever seen. there is no width at all.
