Default tranny question

to drop my tranny do i have to take the motor out????? and when do i have to drain the fluid?? i need to do this becuase i need to get to the clucth assembly thanks

u can do it with the motor in the car. but for some ppl taking the motor out makes it easier. and change your tranny fluid every 30k. its like chaging your oil very easy

Drain your trans. oil before removing the axles.

You can do it without removing the motor.

get the front end up off the ground as high as possible, while being safe, of course. Then put a jack under the passenger side of the motor. Make sure its not on the tranny, your taking that off. undo the tranny mount and rear engine mount, and let the tranny side down with the jack. All this after taking the axles out. and draining the oil.
