Default Quick: Do I need to drain the tranny when pulling the motor?

It's been a while since I've done a swap. I'm pulling the b16b (motor and tranny) today and would like to avoid any unecessary steps. Thanks

no you dont have to, just oil and coolant. you can drain the tranny later if you want.

If you do not and the motor is to come out the top then it will leak the transmission oil out of the axle shaft locations. It is so easy to do (1 bolt), why not?

DONT DRAIN IT.

Just watch the fluid spill everywhere as your pull your motor out.

if some drains out, then you will need to fill it back up so why not replace with new fluid while you have the perfect opportunity?

pull axles, stuff some plugs or rags in the axle holes.
