Default Final drive

Does anybody know the number of teeth on the final drives of these trannys m2b4,p2a8,h2u5.
I know most prelude and accord final drives are either 4.266 or 4.062 but I need to know the number of teeth and are they interchangable.thanks for any help.

- click the Prelude FAQ, it's at the top of the list of threads in this section.
- press CTRL+F
- search for "tranny"

you'll find a really good reference to h and f series gear ratios.

wasn't that easy?

you're killing me
all this work i do for you and you can't spend 10secs to search for it

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1876526

M2B4 - JDM 4G LSD
M2B4 - 3.307 - 1.950 - 1.360 - 1.034 - 0.787 - 4.266 LSD

These 2 are not in the FAQ
P2A8 - 98-02 Accord with F23 engine
no idea on the ratios, supposed to be very long

H2U5 - 90-93 Accord with F22 engine
again don't know the ratios but can assure you they are quite long
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason these are not published is because they are very uncommon in swaps and I am not even sure if they will work, in quick searches i have seen some say they work and some say the mounts do not line up

why do you want to include these as options with the m2b4?
I would not even consider them unless they were free and even then i would look for another low cost alternative

Oh and by the way the housings on the LSD and non-LSD trannies are different. So Final Drives between these two types would most likely not be interchangeable

You'll need a matching countershaft anyways, so just count both and figure the ratio out.

we can all read so stop being a smart ***....
everyone who has posted in this thread more than likely has way more experience than you, so why don't you help us out and answer our questions

what you need to understand is that no one keeps records of tooth counts online
this is the best i can offer.....

Final Drive 4.0625 Non JDM
Ring = 65 teeth
Pinion = 16 teeth

Final Drive 4.2666
Ring = 64 teeth
Pinion = 15 teeth

what you need to tell us is why you need these numbers, what are you planning to do with these 3 final drives that are all from very different transmissions.......maybe we can offer some advise without having to know the exact tooth counts........since your second question was are they interchangeable.

But if you don't want our help on a very specific question then have fun tearing a tranny apart to count

I think what jdmaccord was trying to do was take a 5th gear out of a tranny with a 4.062 final drive and put it into a tranny with 4.26 final- so he could get a higher top end with the longer 5th.
The only question I have is this:
If I were to order a jdm h22a1 and try to bolt any regular accord tranny to it- it would fit perfectly right?
