Default da big brakes

Ok si Put my integra da big brakes on yesterdayand now thedal goes all the about to the floor before the car stops.

I replaced the spindles with caliper rotors 40/40 prop valve. I got the master cylinder butit wont bolt up too a dx brake booster.

So I think that having the da brakes I am going to have to changed the master because the da brakes require more fluid and pressure.

any help would be great Im going to the junkyard to get the da bb so i can ise the mc

I've never heard that you MUST use the DA mc, I just heard it was a very good idea to do so.

Did you bleed the air from the system after you installed everything?

Yes I went through 2 gallons of brake fluid during the bleeding process.

The brakes work but the pedal travels a long way before the brakes start to engage. but I can mash on them and the car stops awasome.

So basically what I am saying is that the pedal travels to far before brake activation.

I have the da non abs booster and mc I am going to put hem on tomorrow its raing for the rest of the day.

1. Integra booster won't bolt up to Civic 88-91 Booster

2. The non abs (260v) booster will reduce your pedal travel immensely

Ok I know the da mc wont bolt up to my stock booster found that out the hard way.

Can I put da booster on my civic and then use the da mc.

And is that the reason why I have so much pedal travel and the brakes still work?

Thanks for the help

I am going to make you answer this one. If DA booster won't bolt to Civic MC, do you think DA MC is going bolt to Civic booster?

I may just be misunderstanding you toad but you sad the same thing twice.

Will a da booster bolt to a civic? if so then I can use the da mc.

I know that the da mc wont bolt to a civic booster so I went and got a da booster from the local junkyard for freee

Nope they won't bolt up. Integra must stay with Integra, Civic must stay with Civic, don't mix and match Non-ABS and ABS either. That is bad!

Bolts up no issues! I have put a few on several different 88-91 Civic/CRX and a 96 hatch with no issues. Bolt it on dude!

I also run one for my track car. DA Non ABS 260v Booster and MC. Absolutely love it I can out brake anything on track going into the corners it is great.

I find odd that so many people have issues with this swap! I think I might have gotten lucky with mine.

I run 99 GSR brakes in my 91 CRX DX, and I did not replace my MC/BB or Prop valve. The only thing I upgraded was my brake lines with SS lines...after we bled the system the brakes felt awesome!

I have a very firm pedal and the brakes grab instatly!!! with out any play what so ever! I pretty much had to learn how to brake my car all over again. And this was about 4 months ago, and I have not had any issues with the setup.

I have never had a problem. You are doing something way wrong if you went thru 2 gallons of fluid.
