Default Runnin rich? how?

hey. i jus got the headers on. i got the ractives on. feels much better than stock since stocks had restrictions on em. well i was jus racin one of my friends hatch and i was in front and he said i was running real rich. well the only thing i got on the car is ebay intake w/ filter, ractive headers, greddy evo2 cat back, underdrive, and thats about it. so what do you think my problem is? he said get it tuned but i dont think i'd need a tune with such slight mods. any ideas?

prelude do run rich, my 98 prelude was burning more oil then my 93 prelude vtec, so it could be couple things, burning oil, O2 sensor, rings

which rings you talkin about? i just replaced the o2 sensor when i got the new headers on (yesterday). i need a new oil pan gasket but i dont see why that would cause the problem.

you have a header, not headers

he means piston rings...

how did your friend "know" you were running rich?

but to thread jack but can black smoke be a sign of running lean? I have a h23 bored 20 over on factory fuelmap so imo it seems it should run lean but the black smoke made me think its rich....

Inspect your ignition system and be sure your actually burning all that fuel in the chamber. Rotor, cap, plugs, wires, coil.
