Default Stripped Threads?

What is the cheapest and most efficient way to fix some stripped threads on a block for headbolts? Its a B20B block already been re-tapped for a B18C head.. I wanna fix it and then maybe sell it or work on it...

What do you mean retapped? The thread pitch should be the same...

Some sort of Heli-coil is probably the best bet.

Helicoil'd head bolts dont hold - they rip out and then oversized studs are required (or big-sert)
Timesert is the only real way to go...but i dont think thats needed here (until we get clarification on this anyway)

The block was give to me from a friend like 4 years ago... But I havent touched it since... I was gonna get heli-coils for it but it was like $300 back then for it so i decided to just not mess with it... Well anyways, when my guy had it... He had a GSR head on it... But when the head gasket blew... They accidently stripped one of the headbolts putting it back without a torque wrench... So he just got himself a new motor and gave me the block... If I remember right though, i was told that GSR headbolts were bigger so they retapped the holes on the block to make them bigger... I could be wrong but that was what i was told... I used to mess around a lot on cars but i havent for so long now so ive forgotten quite a few things...

all b series head bolts are m11x1.50
you still need to repair that thread, but do not use helicoil...like i said, it will tear out and you'll have a bigger problem.
