My mechanic just did a valve adjustment and when we started it up, there was a loud ticking noise. This resembles the noise I was having when driving but after the adjustment, the noise is 100x louder. It is extremely annoying.

I still have my stock injectors (D16Y8), can I use them on my B16A2 (2000)?

What do injectors have to do with a valve adjustment? Did he do the adjustment when the motor was cold?

 

i got a feeling your mechanic didn't do it right and/or did it when the engine wasn't completely cool. A loud ticking noise after adjustment usually means the tolerances are too loose. Take it back and get it readjusted

Did the car sit at his shop over night??????????????? valve adjustment must be done when the engine is cold, which takes hours.
