Default another problem

My friend has a d16z6 that has coolent coming out of the radiator and resivior tank. It used to overheat but after the water pump was installed it stopped.

He changed water pump, thermostat, radiator, thermo sensor.

So it stopped overheating but still coolent still poors out of the tanks. What do you think it is?

Also i was talking to someone from honda and he told me that if you don't change the thermostat the same time as the water pump that the water pump would go bad. can anyone verify this? thnx

Pump go bad from not changing t-stat? Sounds like bs. Although, if the pump was bad and the car overheated a few times the t-stat is probably bad anyways and might not function, leading to more overheating again and potential engine damage. So it's a good idea to change it but probably not for the reason given.

had same exact problem. Time for a new headgasket. its exhaust getting into your radiator and pushing the coolant out of the overflow, might want to change the radiator cap to if its being pushed out from there.
