Default Boosting but with a 2.25 inch exhaust?

i have a brand new Thermal R&d exhaust but it is 2.25 inch piping because i was going to go all motor but now im deciding to go boost. I will be using a 2.5 inch down pipe and i have a 2.5 inch carsound high flow cat reduced to 2.25 inches to fit my exhaust. Would this hurt my set up a redicilous amount? This car is my daily driver and i will most likley be using a Garret t3 super 60 turbo.

It's not optimal, but it'll still be fast. It's not going to hurt anything.

you want as least backpressure as possible in your exhaust system, turbo creates its own backpressure from the turbine wheel and housing

lol yea i dont plan on doing that anytime soon, this is my daily driver not a track queen. But yea im trying to sell it but if i cant do you think the 2.5inch downpipe to a 2.5 inch carsound highflow cat reduced to a 2.25 inch exhaust will hurt my power by alot. Not using a t3 super 60 anymore ill ethier be using a .50 or a .57 trim, and looking to get between 250-300whp no more than that. Even though i know i wont be close to the 300 mark because im trying to make it very conservitive.

yes it will.. definetly get rid of the cat as well.

seriously open downpipe isnt that loud, i drive one every day and i actually would like for it to be louder but oh well.

remember its not a all motor car, the exhaust goes through a turbo, its not near as loud.

Yeah that is a good example of how much it can hinder your performance, least back pressure possible. It will help Turbine Inlet Pressure and in turn help you make more power
