Default 18G vs T3/To4E on B18c1

Which turbo Dsm 18G or T3/t04e (57 trim, .63 ar hotside .50 coldside) which turbo will spool up quicker and put down 300 whp, and not run out of breath at 8,000 rpm on a b18c1? Thanks.

Go with the 57trim. The 18g will run out of breath and you wont make the power you want. Plus the 57trim wont have bad spool up time either.

not the 18g.
the t04e worked well on a friends setup. but that was a high comp b16.

nothing wrong with the 18g, the 57 trim will allow you to reach full potential of your setup

57 trim would be a great turbo for your stock GSR...if you want a little faster spool w/ the same peak power, you could opt for the GT3255 series. I run a GT3255b on my stock GSR and make 315/216 at 10psi w/ full boost on the street at around 3900rpm. If you want more info, you can PM me and i'll get you the details along w/ my dyno graph

the 18G will do 300whp I did 309whp on the 18g on my old set up, but the 57 trim is a better option

what psi were you at? and what other mods did you have done aside from the stock greddy kit?

the 18g has a great spool time, and spools up faster than the 57 trim. but like everyone else said, the 57 trim IS a bigger turbo and will make almost full, if not all, potential on your stock gsr.

you could even go with a .50 trim if you wanted. better spool up time and still produces good numbers.

how many of you actually have expierence with both, cuz i do.
I loved my 18g, but i wanted to make 400whp and with a built motor the 18G was a waste.

This was on my b16, 11psi with the gate maxed and a 3in DP with the internal wastegate. Thing pulled all the way to redline and saw full boost before 3,500

with an external gate and more tuning it would have made well over 300, not to mention the tq it would have made
