Default Why is a t3/t4 considered laggy compared to an 18g?

In terms of spool time an 18G is said to spool quick and a t3/t4 is said to be laggy when really they have nearly identical spool times. (depending on trim and size of t3/t4)Lots are questioning the greddy's turbo on its ability to perform. Its a great turbo and can easily make good power. Same goes for a t3/t4. BOTH are great turbos. I dunno if Im the only one who picked up on it but ive seen is various threads....people saying the 18 spools quick 3-4k and then say the t3/t4 is laggy and spools 3-4.5 k?????????? ahahaahhahaa . Yes on the avg t3/t4 willflow more air and thus make some more power but you really ARE not sacrifising spool time, unless you start getting into the bigger power ones.

The T3/4 turbo ball bearing will be just as fast as the 18G, guess it comes down to how much money you wanna spend?

Spool time and lag are two different things. Lag is not what rpm you make boost at but rather refers to the response time of the turbo when you give it gas. If I recall correctly, bigger turbos actually have less lag than smaller turbos, but bigger turbos have longer spool time.

You cant just compare any T3/T4. They are all different. For example a T3/To4E 60 trim will have way more lag then my T3/To4b 35 trim.
