Default Feedback request:Expected behaviors with a Stock B18C1 using a "60 trim" .48A/R Turbo

Hey guys wanted to know if anyone has personal experience running a 60 trim with a .48 ex on a gsr motor? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find a answer. I just don’t know if the Turbo will run out of breath on the top end. Not looking to make a ton of power. Turbo is a Garrett

T3 60 trim or t3/t04e 60 trim?
If its the straight t3 it will run out of breath before the turbine housing. If is a t3/t4 it will do just fine up until like 300whp.
A manifold thats not cast iron super short helps a lot on this situation

This looks to be an AiResearch/Garrett that is the older 60 Trim. The T3/T04E 60 "trim" never came with that cover nor 2 bolt flange system or SV0 5-bolt.

T3 60 Trim - Engine Demand Flow/CFM Flow chart

To verify whether or not you have the T3 "60 Trim" vs. T3 "Super 60", (as both turbos use a T04B Cover, unlike the T3/T04E 60 "Trim" which only came in a T04E cover, used a standard T31 2.5" 4 bolt, and didn't use a 2-bolt flange).
The turbine wheels of the turbo were the same for the most part. You also need to show the turbine wheel & housing, as this looks like an SVO Mustang turbo, due to the markings and the fact that from this vantage point it looks like it's using a 5-bolt Ford SVO turbine housing in a .48A/R (if what you say is true)

Start measuring wheels in millimeters, and we can go from there..
This all "works" depending upon what the purpose of the car is and what you're trying to do. If you want some more "direct" comparisons..
-Mitsu TD05H-16G
-Mitsu TD05-16G
-Garrett GT2510

This is about 40lbs/min at over 26psi of pressure. 300whp would be hard to reach with this. VERY hard to reach with a B18C1
220whp would be more realistic, but honestly, the engine wouldn't like those intake temps from this unless you have a WONDERFULLY EFFICIENT Intercooler.

ok when I get home I’ll take some detailed pictures and take some measurements, oh and it has a normal downpipe flange, no internal wastegate, is not water cooled and has a regular hose outlet.

As long as you used this formula..

Trim Calculation

Looks like you have the standard T3 60 that is smaller than the "T3 Super 60". that is smaller than a Mitsu TD05-16G that's about 35lbs/min. For an efficient engine like a Stock GS-R. That 300whp is about as likely as you would have the car fly in the air.. . You won't reach it at all with this turbo, even at over 2.0PR (28psi of boost pressure)

Compressor =
inducer -- 46.5mm
exducer -- 60.12mm

Turbine = (More than likely measurements for the .48A/R).
Wheel Diameter (Inducer) -- 59mm
Exducer-- -48.2mm

Yes 300 to the tyre will not be seen. A lot less.
On the positive side of things, it WILL be fun because it will come alive instantly. It will feel like k24 swap.
