hey there i just got done puttin my ls back into my eg after swapping transmissions and a new clutch kit.. and ran into a mechanical failure im not sure whats wrong but my engine won't go past 3000 rpm, im thinkin it mite be a simple vaccum leak somewher or somethin.. but everytime i step down on the gas all the way it jus sits at 3000 like its got 2 step or somethin.. but it don't.. i can still drive the car normal just no racingg =[... if neone has any idea please let me know!!

 

change your fuel filter and get back to me

I've heard sometimes when they do that, the ECU is in "limp home" for whatever reason.

if the ECU is chipped and the chip went bad or the chip is disconnected for some reason the car will have a 3k revlimiter and run like crap. The CEL will be on also.
