Ok I have a 93 del sol and I can't get in the trunk, give me anyway possible to get in there I don't care about the key cylinder because I plan on replacing it anyway


and no, theres no trunk latch for the people that don't no.

 

bad new bud you can do one of two things either bust out your pass taillight and reach around OR used a hack saw and have someone pull the truck up a bit and cut the striker off the truck the part is 18.00 at honda alot cheeper than a taillight i just got done with the same issue

You could take a 1/8" drill bit, drill some holes into the lock cylinder (just to weaken it), and then hammer it in with a screwdriver.

Is it busted and your key wont turn it?

 

key wont open it, can i drill right thru it then pop it with a screw driver? heard that somewhere..

 

pulled the cyclinder out and great nothing behind it sso i got a big hole and no poppy the trunk lol now what
do I cut up my garnish?

 

just cut the $18 striker like the other dude said

There should be a rod attached the cylendar you just punched out that will unlock the trunk.

 

You gotta get two people to pull up on it I PROMISE i had 3 diff body shops and the honda place and my race team lead the only way is to cut the striker
