Trunk spring assist for del Sol?
I installed an automatic trunk pop kit on my 93 del Sol and as we all know (del sol S owners) the trunk needs to be lifted up just a bit to get the hinge out of the locking system. So, my question is, are there any springs in the trunk to pop up the trunk a bit so the trunk doesn't lock back up? i hope that makes sense..and if it does, where would i go to purchase one for my car is honda made them for del Sols? Thanks

Re: Trunk spring assist for del Sol?
There should be screw in bump stops on each corner of the trunk. Unscrew them to the point where they'll allow the trunk to close with some slight effort thus allowing it to pop up when you pull the release.
It frankly shouldn't be any different than before, just instead of the key lock popping it the pull release is. If they aren't there on yours swing by a junk yard and grab a couple.
