I'm getting so sick of this car...problem after problem....

1994 Honda civic ex 5 speed

ok heres the problem

when i turn my car on, it idles very wierdly, the idle jumps and it like revs itself up really fast...then the car just drives EXTREMELY bad...but i have to drive it because I have to get from place to place...

what could this be?

Is your throttle cable adjusted right? Any CEL's? Are you using the right ECU?

 

yeah everything is fine, it just randomly started doing this...

 

have you done a tune up?

 

not latley, im going to take my car into the shop tommorrow first thing in the morning...man im telling you im sick of car problems!

well i got the motor from hmotorsonline, them saying it only had around 15k...

 

Probably just needs a tune up...get it tuned up and then sees what happens!

I was going to say maybe switched plugs.Have you checked timing , spark plug wire order?

 

IACV? maybe? have you tried cleaning it out with some brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner?
