Turbo oil issue ??
For those with experience with this sort of thing... please chime in.
Looking to diagnose a turbo oil related issue. Has anyone removed the feed line from there turbo and watched oil flow from the feed into a container? How about oil return line ?
I wouldn't recomend running the engine for long at all. Just enough to watch flow verify all is well and shut the engine back down.
We did this with our setup, trying to track down a possible issue, and i couldnt help but notice the oil looks very airaited. Thousands of small bubbles in the oil as its coming out. Happend both from the feed and return. More noticable on the feed side, most likely due to the higher amount of pressure.
Im just trying to figure out if this is normal, or possible oil pump, oil system issue.
Typical feed / return setup
-4 feed from the block oil pressure switch port (w/ restrictor flange)
-10 return nice and straight down (top mount)
GT40R turbo if it matters.
Thanks.
