Default Turbo clock oil feed line position

Does the oil feed and return on the turbo have to be straight up and down? Mine right now is clocked at ~ 30 degrees towards the block. I also hear this wierd sound sometimes. Sounds like your dropping a rock into water. I guess its the oil somewhere that is doin that.

the oil drain needs to be straight down it is gravity fed, thus making the oil inlet at the top. so yes it needs to be straight up and down.
