Default S1 tranny the "CABLE type R?

friend of mine says that HONDA tuning says that the USDM S1 tranny has the same gear ratios as the type r?

i thought it was the JDM s1?

Can someone settle this ?

I don't remember for sure because I always get the codes mixed up but I believe the USDM S1 tranny is an LS from a 90 Integra and the JDM S1 tranny is from the JDM CRX/Civic SiR which I know has short gearing(either the shortest cable gearing or 2nd just behind the short geared YS1) but I don't know how close to a type-r.
Anyone else who knows the gearing a little better should be able to more accurately tell you the gearings.
