Default JDM tranny questions....

i am converting a gsr to auto.(read other topics, please dont hate..) i have a jdm auto tranny. i believe its a 93 civic/integra dohc b- vtec auto. their is a cable on the bottom half of tranny, similar to the throtle cable(on top of engine), and the gear selector cable(on top of tranny). MY QUESTION is what is the second cable on the bottom of this jdm tranny?? ive seen an 01 usdm tranny bottom an it does not have the second cable. i have no clue what this cable is supposed to control. PLEASE HELP.. THANK YOU

All I could find of your other topics, were the same ones saying "Read other topics, please don't hate"

Apparently the cable is a kick-down cable of some sort, or something silly like that.

Why do you want to go auto?

i was disabled in an accident, i only have use of one arm, no hands, cant shift...

thanks 4 your help.. but at this point im not gonna use the jdm tranny, to the best of my knowledge there is no difference between jdm gsr auto, and usdm ls auto.. ive been told there is a difference, and there is not a difference... but after looking around the jdm gsr auto has the same part number as same year usdm ls auto..

must be the same...

Sorry to hear, you aren't the first person I've talked to on HT that was unable to use a manual transmission, so I try to be polite about it now, unlike some people who come out with "DON'T BE A ***** GET A 5 SPEED".

If the part numbers are the same, chances are they are very similar transmissions. It's a hard topic to find info for though, not many people are tearing apart the auto transmissions. If you already have the JDM B/VTEC trans, I would stick with it
