Default b16a turbo choice

ok so heres the deal. i have a jdm b16a and im to the point where im ready for boost. i want a tthat will boost 18 psi. ive heard that with the b16a i need to smaller turbo due to the lack of displacement. maybe a .54 cold and a .48 hot? or am i way off. i want it to be at peak boost by around 5 grand (8 psi) and i would like to hear of any places with some cheap but decent turbo parts. i.e. wastegate interdcooler etc. and would u recommend running an internal or external wastegate.

I would suggest a 50, or a 57 trim turbo, we sell parts, check our signature

thanks for the site. is 2.5 inch big enough for 8 psi. or does the amount of boost not matter. and should i use an internal or external wastegate. wastegate size?

Its not about being to big, 2.5 will work but the question should be. How much power are you going to make, and will 2.5 really effect that goal you want to reach. You have to realize how much power you want to make, and then see how much boost you want to run then. If you don't want to boost a lot but want to get the most out of the setup, 3 inch should be used.

We can set you up with a semi complete ( all you would need is small stuff ) turbo kit for 1,700. Inclues major components such as garrett turbo, tial wastegates, greddy bov, intercooler and oil line kits. IM me if your interested.

why 18psi? 18psi is different for every turbo... i boost 18psi and make 392whp... an 18g for example, isnt gonna do that at 18psi...

B16s dont "NEED" small turbos... click my sig but i dont get any boost till 5500rpms...
