Default power chip

hey i have a 2nd gen teg with a power chip and i have just got another teg exact same and i was wondering if i can take the chip out of the one and put it in the other one...not really too sure where the chip is i bought the car with it.

chipping a stock or mildly modded motor is pointless. theres nothing to gain

well i believe there is because when i bought the car it was from a friend and iwas in the car before he had it then after and it did make a difference. so back to my question why would it be soo wrong to switch the chips?

was the "chip" tuned for that exact engine on a dyno? doubtful. your *** dyno is not an accurate hp measuring device despite what you think.

people *think* there is a difference but ive yet to see one on a dyno that did anything worthwhile.

so running rich, no cel's even if something's wrong, no rev limit, no speed limit, and timing maps jacked to hell sound good to you?

very true

the little gains you see are not worth the negatives at all. trust me, you want a working CEL, a working fuel cut, and less aggressive fuel maps.

i ran a chipped ecu on my b18a i/h/e and yea it did make a differnt smooth powerband but it was tuned for my app and made my car sound great

You need to understand computer chips and realize you won't gain power from a chip.
