Chip Question
I just brought a chip that changes my to redline from 7200 to 8500 RPM for my 93 teg. Will I get power all the way to 8500 RPM? And how much you think i will get out of each gear?
The chip you bought is useless...It will only give you crappier milage, changing your redline from 7200 to 8500 will only damage your engine...I PROMISE if you take it over 7500 you will DESTROY your engine without building it up to take that kind of abuse!! Your engine stops making power at aboiut 7000...anything more is just suicide...PEACE!!
exactly...more fuel = running rich...which means shitty milage, you MAY gain a few ponies but compleately NOT worth it. I still have a brand new chip for my 95 GSR sitting in the original bubble wrap.(came w/car) my chip richens the fuel mixute, raises my redline to 9000 and make the v-tec primaries open 1500 rpms sooner...but do I use it, NO...I like my milage and engine very much...chips are worthless UNLESS you are already built around it...chip should be the LAST thing you add to your ride. Trust me and EVERYONE else bro...CRAP, don't install it, you WILL regret it, all it takes is one time that the throttle sticks and 8500rpms of BOOOOMMM, $1500 in work.
Just trying to point you in the RIGHT direction bro...
