Default Over heating problem

Hey everyone,

I recently have been having a weird over heating problem that I cannot pin point.

I have already replaced the thermostat and have done a radiator flush. The fan control switch has been replaced and the fan works.

The car is a 2003 Civic LX 4 door. It currently has 60k miles on it. It's an automatic.

Anyways, the car over heats and throws a P0128 code. I know my head gasket is not blown since I do not see any coolant in my oil or any oil in my coolant reservoir.

I don't know if it's my water pump or not but I am expecting with 60k miles my water pump would be ok, and also when I give the car throttle with the radiator cap open I can see the coolant level rise so I assume my water pump is doing it's job.

Anyone have any clue why the car would overheat?

Thanks.

Possible blown gasket. Just because there isnt a visible sign doesnt mean its not blown. Have a leak down test performed to determine if it is or not. A simple test to see if there is air getting into the cooling system. A tech will apply compressed air to each cylinder at its TDC through the spark plug holes while watching the radiator feedneck. If coolant rises there's the problem. If the fan works, tstat is new, radiator should be alright, then id be lookin that direction.
