Default idle and dying problem... cant check the code either...???

88 d15b2.

-when driving it seems like its missing sometimes, if i just mash the gas, sometimes it will go strong, and sometimes it wont.. i can feel the power surging, coming and going...

-when at a stop the idle is very "rough" and will die if i let it. i have to keep it gassed to keep it from dying...

-sometimes after driving for a while, the check engine light comes on, but then when i stop and try to check it, turn the car off and the light goes away and no code flashes...

any help guys??
tia.

IACV or Main relay. Depends on what code its reading. Or it could be that your timing is way off. I would check the codes first to see whats going on before getting to deep in to it. Could be something very simple to fix.

Try resetting your ECU by unplugging your battery for a few seconds, after you plug it back in turn your car on and see if engine check light is on and if the LED light is throwing a code. Have you tried a tune up lately also?

yeah the order is right...

it wont die right after i start up, it will start right up then idle fine, but once i start driving around, if i come to a stop, it starts idling rough and then tries to die...
