Check Engine Light on: Here's my problems.....
Problem getting worse since last night. Idle is rough, throttle is very sensitive. In fourth gear on and off the pedal makes it jerk. At red lights, idle doesnt go down past 2000. Almost feels like it wants to stall sometimes. thanks for any help.....

It should be in a bright green rubber holder. You need to jump it with a paper clip. then just count the flashes

IACV, possibly very dirty screen or sounds like yours is dead. Can take it off the back of the manifold and clean it out. If that doesnt work after reseting your ecu you might just need a new one.

idle air control valve... check the plug under the throttle body unplug it while the car is running and see if it turns off... it should stay on and your idle should stay all fucked up at 1500...
plug it back in and see if your car's idle settles back down... if it doesnt then its either not getting any power and your going to have to do some electrical troubleshooting....
if there is no problem there then you need to check plug by the map sensor towards your firewall... there are two seperate plugs...
im getting this check engine code too... its pretty random though and its mainly an electrical problem... I havent seen the code for a while, usually only comes on if i beat on the car for a long period of time... I think the engine isnt used to its new compression and such or something... cause i never got this code before and there is not any misconnections or missed grounds...
something is just royally fucked up with my car I cannot find...
anytime my idle starts getting weird i turn off my radio and turn on the ac and it will hold the idle down... then when i start moving again i turn everything back the way it was and it goes away...
ghost in the machines' man.

btw the iacv is rivited onto your manifold... so your have to yank those out and then get new bolts i believe, hence why i never took mine apart.

WTF???? I have never seen that. Mine uses M8x1.25 bolts.
I had an idle problem once, one of the IAC bolts fell out and twisted the IAC motor. New bolt....no more problem.

the car is safe to drive your idle will just be fucked up and your car will jump and **** with the slightest touch of the gas because it doesnt know how much fuel to feed it... just reset the code.
