Default Check engine light won’t turn off

My idle air control code keeps popping up p0505 . I replace it over and over . I don’t have leaks . and the light comes right back on . I clear the code , light shuts off car runs as it should . Soon as light comes right back on the idle changes up and down . What else could be bad that I should replace . TPS ? Any suggestions

The car idles up and down with check engine light on or off . But idles less when code is cleared , sometimes it idles better but way over at about 1600 rpm . The car doesn’t stall , or feel sluggish . Not sure what the problem is .

I haven’t changed the throttle position sensor yet I’m guessing it could be that due to the way it idles but I’m not too sure

How have you ruled out a vacuum or intake air leak?

If those are fine, start by adjusting the idle speed as detailed in the downloadable service manual.

If problem persists, Ohm test the ECT sensor and voltage test the TPS.

Actually I’m running my fan at all times rn . Could that be my issue . I have a paper clip in the switch so it stays on with key turned because I don’t have a sensor that works rn my car over heated I blew the head gasket but changed everything it’s up and running just having issue with that one code popping up .

There’s no leaks , I adjusted the idle speed , it stopped going up and down but the engine light still comes back on and says idle air control . It’s been replaced already

If P0505 is still thrown, then there should be some type of idle problem, example too high, too low, or hunting. When you identify it, post the description.
